What is my skill level?

What is my Skill Rating?
A skill rating tells you how far you have developed in your skills to play the game. The scale is from 1.0 to 5.0, with 5.0 being the top amateur level of play. 5.0-6.0 are professional player ratings.

Click on THIS PAGE to see where your skills are at for playing the game we love. If unsure, start at the 1.0 rating and read through the skills you should have to be a 1.0. Then each rating above builds on those skills listed then adds additional skills.

Why do I need to do know my skill rating? As a recreational player, you generally don't need to know unless a court specifies a rating in order to play. However, if you wish to play in round robins, ladder leagues, or tournaments, you will need to know your skill rating. In general, many players who come to open play are at 3.0 to 4.0 skill level. Some are lower, some are higher, but that is what is generally.

If you need some help with this, take a lesson.  Our instructors will use assessments to give you a skill rating.
